The following is a comprehensive knowledgebase of golf in all its aspects. The knowledgebase aims to equip you with the knowledge required to play better golf. Some aspects cover how to choose and look after your equipment, other aspects cover the skills required. As in all sports, the main action occurs in your head. So, when investigating the different forms and postures particular golfing skills require, always incorporate these into the insights contained within the mental game sections of this knowledgebase.
Nowhere in accounts of what the great players think about as they swing do you find any reference to "right elbows or left knees." The point is that it is not a good idea to play the game by conscious manipulation-trying to do something while you swing. This is probably the biggest mistake made by golfers.
To play the game well you need to do just the opposite; you must develop an unconscious competence. This means practising and practising the techniques described in the sections covering how to use a golf club in a variety of situations. And there's no better way of doing that than by actually playing the game.
